Ugur KAYA, Ph.D.
Associate Professor

My academic research includes morphology, osteology, contemporary taxonomy and acoustic communication of vertebrates, particularly amphibians, reptilians and birds. Currently, I am focusing in advertisement calls and behavior of anurans and applications of multivariate analysis on their temporal and spectral call characteristics.
I am also interested in mating behaviour of amphibians and fascinated with the territorial behavior of male frogs and toads. We are working on several projects including systematics and mating behaviour of amphibians. I am also preparing a sound library of Turkish frogs, toads and birds and a net cataloque of Turkish Herpetofauna.
