Purpose of EUAT

EUAT's main purpose is to spread amateur astronomy in Turkey. The most important tool to succeed in these aims (such as to make public more conscious against UFOs, astrology and other metaphysical modes) is undoubtedly Astronomi Magazin.
We have other attempts like organizing seminars in the university, high schools and fairs. Another attempt for the development of amateur astronomy in Turkey was the 1st National Amateur Astronomers Meeting in Ankara University on July 1995. Astronomi Magazin may be the official publication of the Society of Amateur Astronomers.
One of the other activities of EUAT is to organize public visits to Ege University Observatory.
Various kinds of astronomical data, publications, photos, software, sky atlases, etc. are available in EUAT, Astronomi Magazin and its supplementary publications.
